We are providing 6 monthly Creative Writing Therapy sessions, kindly led by Sarah, from Blossom & Be
Sarah is a fully trained, experienced mindfulness coach and holistic therapist, who will support your grief and bereavement journey through creative writing techniques.
This is a safe and confidential group setting for you to explore how the creative writing therapy is able to benefit you. There is no requirement to share or discuss, and your creativity is personal to you.
The sessions are in person, on the first Saturday of the month starting Saturday 4th October 2025 from The Old School, Fern Road, Cropwell Bishop, NG12 3BU from 11.30am
Refreshments and materials are also provided.
It is free to attend and funding has been gratefully provided by Nottinghamshire County Council.

Freshly foraged tea will also be provided.
Enjoy a deep relaxation experience, allowing yourself to let go and harness the power of sound and vibration, and encourage more flow into your life.
The sound helps to rebalance and revitalise helping you to release and reset.
A sound bath uses the soothing vibrations of instruments like gongs, singing bowls, and chimes to gently calm the nervous system, ease emotional tension, and create a sense of spaciousness within. It’s not about “fixing” grief, but about allowing ourselves to rest, feel supported, and reconnect with inner peace as we navigate the journey of loss

We know that people in rural communities need access to support and how important it is to make new relationships on our bereavement journey's...we also know it is a varied personal experience so we trialed an informal drop in friendship and support group from Barnstone Community Hall, NG13, which unfortunately wasn't too well attended, due to this our sessions are currently on hold, but we are not giving up and are evaluating this provision for 2025. We ran this on a Sunday afternoon to capture a majority of people working in the week, but we would more than welcome your feedback, ideas and thoughts on this.
We funded a specific 6 week facilitated closed group for people to safely explore their grief and loss. Clare, an experienced bereavement facilitator ran the sessions from November - December 2024. Our next 6 week programme is due in early 2025.
We are running a pet loss friendship group from Lowdham WI Hall every 3rd Saturday in the month. The sessions will be an opportunity to meet people experiencing the loss of their beloved pet, validate loss and share memories.
The first session is planned on Saturday 18th January 10am-12noon
The second is planned for Saturday 15th February 10am - 12noon
We are researching how and where we can support national suicide prevention strategies, and inform ways of offering activities and support for people bereaved by suicide. We have personally worked predominantly in the construction industry to address suicide prevention and reducing the stigma, mainly in construction and the affects on the male workforce.
We are also based in a farming and rural area, which is another area regarding high suicide rates. The factors are similar to those in construction due to long working hours, financial pressures, being away from home and family and trying to cope with changing governmental polices/supermarket chains and weather related drivers.
We are looking at ways to offer engagement in a confidential and safe space locally to all. We need your feedback to help us to shape this and get some support to people that need it.
